SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - Wijan Ponlid of Thailand beat Bulat Jumadilov of Kazakstan 19-12 to win the gold medal Sunday (Saturday night EDT) in the 112-pound class (51kg) of Olympic boxing.

Jerome Thomas of France and Vladimir Sidorenko of Ukraine got the bronze.
